Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free and Vegan Breakfast in Hanmer Springs

Can you get a gluten-free breakfast in Hanmer Springs? Yes. At Tease Robo Cafe Bar and Eatery, most of the breakfast menu is gluten-free or can be made gluten-free. Every eggs benedict is served on a cauliflower rosti instead of bread, so gluten-free guests can order bennies without having to swap anything. There are also dairy-free and fully vegan dishes, including a quinoa bowl.

Eating out with a dietary requirement usually means reading the menu twice and asking a lot of questions. We designed our breakfast so the gluten-free choice is often the normal choice.

Gluten-free breakfast at Tease

These dishes are gluten-free as they come:

• The King Salmon Bene ($30): cauliflower rosti, house-smoked salmon, citrus hollandaise
• The Classic Bene ($29): Manuka-smoked bacon
• The Woodland Bene ($28): creamy mushroom, vegetarian
• Slow-Cooked Beef Cheek Croquettes ($34)
• Smashed Avocado and Corn Fritters ($24)
• Quinoa Bowl ($22)

These can be made gluten-free on request: the Shakshuka and Turkish Eggs. They’re usually served with Turkish bread.

Dairy-free breakfast

• Quinoa Bowl: dairy-free and vegan
• Shakshuka: dairy-free on request (we leave off the goats cheese)
• Corn Fritters: dairy-free on request
• Vietnamese Banh Mi: dairy-free on request

Every coffee and matcha can be made with alternative milk for $1 extra.

Vegan breakfast

The Quinoa Bowl ($22) is fully vegan: roasted cauliflower, roasted red capsicum hummus, pickles, cucumber, edamame, mesclun and toasted nuts and seeds. The Smashed Avocado and Corn Fritters also have a vegan option. Just ask.
